PERSINGEN EXHIBITION 2009

July 18-19th 2009, Church of Persingen (Holland). Open: 11.00-17.00 h.

In the weekend of july 18th and 19th I will present a number of new paintings in the church of Persingen. After some painterly deviations in the last year (portrait, figure, landscape) I have focused on a number of larger still life paintings again in the past few months. In these paintings I mainly searched for convincing light, causing my painting technique to shift from painting in many layers for creating structure, to direct observation and painting of color and valure. In addition, I experimented with a more painterly touch. You are welcome to view the results of this period's work, in the medieval church of Persingen. My favorite subject, the apple, will again be amply represented.
